Storia

Storia was an eReading app launched by Scholastic in 2012. My team and I were originally brought on to re-imagine the newly released app for possible improvements for their product. With many features common to eReading apps, such as the dictionary, highlighter, and notes, Storia was unique in its appeal to the younger audience. Storia included games and quizzes which helped elevate the whole reading experience to another level. We were tasked with improving the product by introducing new features, including a reading points and award system, goals/reading milestones, customized bookshelves, reading reports for teachers and parents and an easy way to purchase books. Storia for the consumer eventually moved into a subscription-based classroom edition.I worked not only on re-imagining the product itself, but on all marketing pieces, including the website, social channels, contests/giveaways, and print marketing. I also implemented the Storia brand and mini-sites across all of Scholastic’s other business channels, including Book Clubs, Scholastic Store, and Book Fairs.
